The primary geography network meetings support leaders to share good practice, reflect on current provision and gather practical and creative ideas for their own schools. Delegates will engage with up-to-date subject knowledge and effective pedagogical approaches, helping leaders to make informed decisions about curriculum design and teaching and learning in geography.

Participants will remain informed about national and local developments in primary geography, supporting responsive and knowledgeable subject leadership. Sessions will respond to shared priorities and emerging needs, with themes likely to include developing disciplinary knowledge, exploring meaningful approaches to fieldwork, considering effective assessment practices and supporting pupils with SEND to access ambitious geography. The termly meetings will also support subject leaders in preparing for the 2028 National Curriculum for Geography.
