New Primary Geography Subject Leaders Support Package (Blended) – 19 October 2026

by Hannah Richardson -

This package supports new geography subject leaders through a virtual webinar followed by a bespoke school support visit. It is aimed at geography leaders who have been in the role for 18 months or less.

During the initial webinar, subject leaders will strengthen their disciplinary and substantive knowledge and build confidence in their leadership role. They will have opportunities to discuss, develop, and share their vision for geography within their school alongside other subject leaders.

This will support the bespoke half day follow-up school visit where subject leaders can work with the geography adviser to evaluate their long-term overviews and develop high-quality geography lesson plans. The visit can be adapted to meet the specific needs and priorities of each individual school.
